Production Designer

Working on a music video involved working with the whole crew to create striking visuals that clearly communicated the narrative in a much shorter time frame and without dialogue. To do this, I worked with lighting to focus on the contrast between the cold night and warm day, before and after the surrealist 'Moon Man' is killed to emphasise the catharsis brought about by the new day. I created the glowing star, a hero prop which was suspended and used as a practical light, carefully selecting materials that would hold the weight of the light without being so opaque that the light is blocked. For this I used polypropylene sheets, with an additional layer of tracing paper to diffuse the light.
